death in the ocean.

Death in the ocean only comes once upon

the prose tree in my mind, there is a darkness

in the lithe stillness of autumn oaks now gone,

               as olive flowers; a fantasy heartless

in horizon by Rome hills, a sea of loss

     is what we lost before to the ebbing across

the fight of mind, let it turn away and leave;

     the echo of the dream, in darkness of eve.

    1. Thank you! This challenge was really fun, and I’ve never written in an Italian poetic form before so it was neat to experiment. I also thank you for creating the challenge! I very well might become a regular for your poetry prompts. 😀

      1. It’s been slow on the uptake, but hopefully some new chapters will be coming soon. We still got time on it since it won’t end until late August.

    1. Aww, I thank you so much Katy. That makes me happy to hear that. 🥰 This was quite a difficult form to write in. I don’t do traditional forms typically in my poetry, though I’m always up for a challenge. All in all, it was pretty fun!
