A five year-old was diagnosed
with terminal cancer
The adults wept and wailed
The child could not understand
Why are you weeping and wailing?
The adults could not understand
Why are you not afraid?
Because I am going to a place
I’ve never been before
I’m excited.

I am an experimental writer in unconventional poetry. In Flippant, Comic, and Serious I mainly write in rhyme, drawing content from humour, satire, serious, absurd, nonsense etc. Explore FCS for poetry with a difference.
