no more.

i carry the small rose
like a moon of your body
a syntax of fools,
that if
the sun and the sky
and the roses
fall to the garden

i will let your name
climb upon my body
and head until i
am no more.

  1. Thank you for this wonderful poem – even among devastation there is a hope – a hope that demands a will. Muchos muchos gracias. I needed this one today, and if the measure of success is to touch another such that a life is changed, just one gaze drawn up from the mud and defiantly back to the sky I would say you have succeeded here. Gratefully, D.

    1. Devon, I don’t know what to say. I thank you so much for your lovely words and I’m glad it impacted you in such way. As a poet, this is one of the greatest things I can hear and I’m happy it could be what you needed. Thank you so very much.
