Visual Verse Publication: I gather white flowers.

I’m ecstatic to announce that my poem, “I gather white flowers” appears in Volume 8, Chapter 8 of Visual Verse Anthology. Thank you so much to the editors of VV for accepting my work. It’s an honor to be in the company of such amazing word tamers like Kerfe Roig and Jaya Avendel for instance.

Here’s an excerpt of my work:

“A dead body cannot turn
a heart; but your words
can
kill
me

If I let them
trace onto my maddening hands
like a bush
like a black cancer
from the yew tree.”

My poem can be found on the 80th page of this chapter or you can read it here. Be sure to check out the chapter and everyone else’s work. It’s beautiful.

Happy Pride. ❤

  1. “Us pale girls” are beautiful in their incarnation “I gather white flowers”.
I love that the ultimate calling of your story is the importance of freedom. Be you lovely or kind, without freedom, how hard it is to truly be expressive and give in to creation. I find appeal in the dark side; the night knows its freedom. ⭐️

    • Thank you so so much, Jaya! ❤ You’re so right about the main theme in my poem, how freedom is vital and how it can mean different things to us and who we are.

The dark side is where it’s at, though, for sure. 😀
