Hey all, hope you’re having a good 2022 so far. Still waiting for the shit to hit the fan, but I think that’s what most of us are expecting since… looks at nonexistent watch… oh, the past two years.
So let me cut to the chase: I’m currently in search of a beta reader or two to help give feedback on my WIP, maybe even hash out ideas. It’s titled “An Act of Prevention” and the blurb I have, subject to change, is this:
A time-traveling physician wants to prevent the serial killer cases she is enlisted on. She changes the timeline and has done so for years, but a detective stumbles upon her secret. Why she does this is known: Her brother’s trauma and random acts of disappearance, but what’s not known is where he goes or what he does. She lives to prevent a life of loneliness and looks for meaning, but what stares back at her is not herself.
Yeah, yeah, how fucking original (note the sarcasm). I’m honestly stuck and frustrated with my progress at this story. I honestly don’t know how to continue it thus far. I have a manuscript for beta readers interested in reading it through BetaReader.io. It’s over six thousand words and counting.
Let me know if you’d be interested in doing this. I’m not too familiar with the process of being a beta reader myself, but I’d love to return the favor if possible.
PseudoPsychoet out.
I’ve never officially done any beta reading, but I certainly wouldn’t mind taking a look and offering some feedback, if you’d be prepared to do the same with mine. Drop me a line if you’re interested: ingrid@experimentsinfiction.com

I’m a bit snowed under, but could get to it in February, if that’s not too much of a delay. Like Ingrid I’m also looking for beta readers, but I suspect my romance might not appeal 🙂. Let me know: nopenotpam@gmail.com

Thank you! I may reach out. And honestly, I used to dislike romance but I found I’m a real sucker for it, hahaha.

I would do it in a heartbeat, but have two very busy months ahead of me. I wish you good luck and I hope you find honest readers, who’s critique -if there is any- will help you grow.
